Monitor Software, a division of Monitor Group and the creator of MarketSight®, a research data analysis application (www.marketsight.com), has teamed with the American Marketing Association (AMA) to produce a free webcast, “Best Face Forward: Marketing Through People and Technology to Orchestrate Breakthrough Customer Experiences.” Monitor’s Dr. Jeffrey F. Rayport, who spent nearly a decade at Harvard Business School teaching today’s top executives about technology and marketing, will share strategies organizations can employ to better understand and interact with their customers. He will discuss case studies and highlight techniques that companies like ING Direct, QVC and REI use to drive satisfaction, loyalty and profits.
Competitive advantage and market success often derive as much from how you sell as from what you sell. The selling process has become increasingly complex with a proliferation in the number of channels and devices through which customer interactions and transactions take place. Successful companies recognize the opportunity this creates and have invested in research, technology, and process improvements to create competitive advantage by providing a seamless and consistently excellent customer experience.
During the presentation, Dr. Rayport will discuss the role marketing and market research must play in understanding the customer. He will discuss the need to extend the use of research deeper into the organization to enable product managers and customer strategists, who are responsible for developing the interfaces and streamlining the customer experience, to access the market feedback they need to make better decisions. Dr. Rayport will also share insights from his latest book, Best Face Forward, about which Michael Hammer commented, “Get it before your competitors do!”
