CAMBRIDGE, MASS., SEPTEMBER 26, 2005 — Monitor Software, a division of the Monitor Group, today introduced MarketSight®, an easy to use Web-based application that enables business users to more efficiently analyze research data and find insights needed to make critical business decisions. For several years, Monitor Group consultants have used MarketSight (http://www.marketsight.com) to help clients identify market trends and opportunities and gain competitive advantage by extracting greater business insight from research data. As a result of MarketSight’s success in client engagements, Monitor Software is now making the application available to companies outside of Monitor's client base. MarketSight simplifies and streamlines the research analysis process by allowing non-technical business users, as well as professional researchers and statisticians, to dynamically “slice and dice" data in real-time. This makes it easy to get a quick overview of research results and allows for rapid hypothesis testing. MarketSight automatically runs applicable statistical tests and color-codes results to draw user attention to interesting and statistically valid trends in the data. MarketSight offers instant online charting to enable results to be viewed in graphical form. Charts are easily exported to applications such as Microsoft PowerPoint®, so analysis results can be rapidly transformed into high quality presentations.
