Senior Accountant

We are seeking a candidate with a BS in Accounting and 4 years of progressive experience, preferably in a high-growth organization. Experience in Public Accounting is a plus.


Reporting to the CEO and working closely with the group VP of Finance and Controller, the Senior Accountant will be instrumental in improving existing processes, procedures and systems. S/he will own the accounting for the entire enterprise. S/he will have the opportunity to learn from an experienced leadership team while being challenged by stretch assignments and other professional development opportunities.

Responsibilities
  • Perform daily accounting activities for all revenue and expense transactions
  • Support month-end and year-end close process, including accruals, analysis and financial statement preparation.
  • Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls
  • Analyze complex financial reports and records
  • Make accounting recommendations based on analysis and status of reserves, assets and expenditures.
  • Prepare journal entries.
  • Perform variance analyses and prepare account reconciliations through researching underlying accounting records and process flows.
  • Prepare cash forecast.
  • Assist with financial and tax audits.
  • Document and monitor internal controls in support of auditing team.
  • Coordinate more complex accounting projects and initiatives with other members of the group accounting and finance team or with other departments.
  • Prepare special reports/projects, as necessary, by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information.
Qualifications
  • BS in Accounting with experience in public accounting as well as a minimum of four years of progressive responsibility, preferably in a high-growth company.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills (oral and written).
  • Experience with Intacct accounting software a plus.

Sales Director

We are seeking a seasoned sales executive with at least 5 years of B2B sales experience to join our team headquartered in Newton, Massachusetts. Applicants with contacts and experience in the market research industry are highly desirable. Applicants with experience selling software-as-a-service (SaaS), or cloud-based solutions are also highly desirable.


In this role, you will engage with market research professionals to understand their analysis and reporting needs and present the MarketSight value proposition. It will be your responsibility to manage the entire sales process: to initiate, present, negotiate, and close software sales with the largest market research firms and corporate market research departments. This is a dynamic role that offers the opportunity to engage with many clients in a variety of settings, including in-person meetings, web-based seminars, industry events, and conference calls.

Responsibilities
  • Identify individual prospects in well-defined target markets
  • Initiate contact with prospects to understand their needs and present our solutions
  • Working with our Customer Success Team, develop and deliver tailored, engaging, product demonstrations to a diverse audience to include executives, market researchers, marketing professionals, business analysts, and IT professionals
  • Negotiate and close deals, meeting quarterly sales targets
  • Some travel will be required
Qualifications
  • Four-year undergraduate degree required
  • At least 5 years experience selling software - SaaS sales experience preferred
  • Contacts and experience in the Market Research Industry
  • Excellent presentation, writing, and verbal skills
  • Ability to understand complex client challenges
  • Ability to present and demonstrate our technology solutions to qualified prospects
  • Ability to work effectively with minimal direct oversight
  • Ability to learn quickly and consistently perform at a high level
